Child Welfare Programs

While our mission has expanded since 1986, we are still committed to serving children and families. Today, we are one of the largest west valley providers for foster care and adoption services in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Through our child welfare programs we:

  • Ensure that children have a safe place that they can call home.
  • Keep children safe while preserving and enhancing relationships with, and attachments to, the families of origin.
  • Give parents/caregivers the support to help manage their child’s behaviors and prevent the kinds of problems that make family life stressful.

Foster Care

Arizona’s children who are unable to live safely with their parents and/or biological family are placed in foster homes.

Adoption

Adoption is the legal process of becoming the parent and assuming all responsibilities for a child, providing them with a safe and loving home.

Kinship Care

When an adult relative or person who has a significant relationship with a child who is in the Department of Child Safety’s custody becomes the caregiver for the child.

Training

HCS is a state contracted provider agency to deliver the required training for you to become a foster, kinship or adoptive parent.

Family Reunification

HCS assists with family reunification through supervised visitations and provides instruction to help improve parenting skills.

Hope Community Services does not discriminate or have limitations. We accept families of all kinds and comply with the state of Arizona’s DCS guidelines.
