I'm licensed. Now what?

So, you’re licensed? Think you are on your own? Think again. Here are some of the support services you will receive from HCS.

Home Visits

Your assigned Licensing Specialist will be conducting home visits with you. During home visits you will be provided support, guidance, and resources for you and the child in your home. There will also be checks and inspections to make sure you are still in compliance with licensing rules to ensure safety.

Support Group

You are invited to join HCS and other resource (foster, adopt, and kinship) parents to a monthly support group. This is a great opportunity for you to expand your support network and receive additional support from your peers. The group also has guest speakers and trainers to help provide additional resources.

Ongoing Trainings

HCS provides in house, advanced training opportunities throughout the year that you can attend. Our staff can also help you find other trainings in the community to make sure that your ongoing training needs are met.

Events

HCS hosts several free events for foster, adopt, and kinship families throughout the year including a BBQ Cook Off Event, a Back to School Ice Cream Social, a Trunk or Treat, and a Holiday Party. These events are to help build a supportive community among HCS and resource parents.
