Update from the CEO:
The HCS office will be open for restricted hours with limited staff starting Thursday, March 19th until further notice due to COVID-19. Currently, HCS is following guidelines from our contracted partners, Department of Child Safety, AHCCCS health plans as well as state and federal recommendations. Sanitation of the office space has increased as we are following recommended guidelines by the CDC.
Community based services for child welfare and behavioral health will continue with additional safety procedures put in place. The office will be available, by appointment only, for in-office behavioral health services and child welfare services will continue to be in the community, in home or by other means. Staff will conduct services through telehealth (conference calls and/or video conferencing) when able. Special measures will be taken if service requires a face to face meeting. Staff who conduct home visits will be calling clients/guardians to prescreen prior to arrival to ensure no illnesses is current in the household. If there is evidence of illness, appointments will be rescheduled. It is important that HCS continues to serve those in need of our services during this difficult time and vital that we protect our employees and contractors.
We are here to help with any questions or concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact your worker.
We are very proud of staff for coming together over these last few days to create a plan. Thank you to everyone for being there for our community during this difficult time.
